The short answer

To recreate a viral reel for your business, copy its structure and not its content: Write down the hook, the beats and the payoff, then fill that skeleton with your own topic, your own claims and your own face.

Six steps, from their post to yours

  1. 01

Choose a post from your market

Not any viral video: one that performed for an audience like yours. A format that works for a gym may not work for an accountant.

  2. 02

    Find the hook

The first two seconds: the line or the image that stopped the scroll. Write down what kind of hook it is, not its words.

  3. 03

    Map the beats

What happens, in order, and roughly when: claim, proof, turn, example. This is the part that is reusable.

  4. 04

    Name the payoff

What the viewer gets at the end: the answer, the reveal, the number. It is why they stayed and why they share.

  5. 05

    Rewrite it as yours

Same skeleton, your subject, your facts, your offer. If a line only works for them, replace it.

  6. 06

    Make it and compare

Post your version and look at how far people watched. The structure is proven; your topic is the test.

A reel, decoded

Example
  1. Hook0s to 2sThe first two seconds: the line or image that stops the scroll.
  2. Claim2s to 8sThe one point the video makes.
  3. Proof8s to 15sWhy the viewer should believe it.
  4. Turn15s to 20sThe catch, or what most people get wrong.
  5. Example20s to 26sOne concrete case that makes it real.
  6. Payoff26s to 30sThe answer, the reveal, the number: why they stayed.

Example timing for a 30-second reel, not a measured one. Map the reel you are copying the same way.

What you take, and what you leave

  • Take

The structure. A format is a pattern anyone can use.

    • The type of hook
    • The order of the beats
    • The pacing
    • The kind of payoff
  • Leave

Everything that is theirs. Make your own.

    • Their video, images and audio
    • Their script, word for word
    • Claims you cannot stand behind

Your questions, answered

Short answers to what people ask next.

Reusing a format, the structure of a post, is how most content is made. Copying the footage, the exact script, the music or another brand’s claims is not reuse: that material belongs to them. For a specific case you are unsure about, ask a lawyer.

Because the structure is what held attention: the hook, the order of the beats and the payoff. The topic can change and the pattern still does its job.

Paste a TikTok, Reel or Short link. Percify breaks it into hook, beats and payoff, rewrites the script from your brand read, and your own face and voice perform the new version. It takes the structure, never the footage and never the claims.

TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts links, or a clip you upload of up to 2 minutes.

No. In Percify your own face and voice perform it, set up once from one photo and a short voice sample.
