Social media scheduler: what each platform lets you do
Every big platform now schedules posts natively. How far ahead each one goes, what it needs, and when a scheduler is worth it.

The short answer
A social media scheduler publishes your posts at a time you pick, so you can plan a week in one sitting. Most platforms now do it natively: Instagram up to 30 days ahead, Pinterest 30 days, LinkedIn three months, YouTube any future date, and TikTok from desktop with a Business account. A third-party scheduler is worth it when you post to several platforms and want one calendar.

When a scheduler is worth it
You post to several platforms
Native tools mean one app per platform. A scheduler puts every platform in one calendar.
You plan in batches
Native windows differ: 10 days on TikTok, 30 on Instagram, 3 months on LinkedIn. One tool smooths that out.
You need a team on it
Approvals and shared calendars are what paid schedulers sell. Solo, the native tools are often enough.
Making is the real bottleneck
A scheduler posts what you already made. If the queue is empty, the problem is making the posts, not timing them.
Native scheduling, platform by platform
